So, I'm outside last night with my coworker around 8PM on 16th and K NW and we're just chillin', talkin' and smokin' and lo and behold, we saw a big ass rat and a roach, back to back. I'm thinking I'm in NYC Again...LOL - that's DC for ya.
OK - so get this. I totally forgot I had this blog. I'm going to have to start updating it more often. I promise! All my LJ buddies, if you have blogspot, def. give me an add and some love.
So, the big hooplah for next month is my vacation at the end of August. I will be going down south to see Natalie Merchant in Durham, North Carolina, Knoxville, Tennessee and Greenville, South Carolina. I did this in 2004 with my good friend Lexa, and we've decided to do it again, since it's been a while since Natalie Merchant has toured.
Yes, I'm still a big die-hard fan (about 15 years now) and hopefully will have "the chance" to meet her again and take a picture.
I will be using this blog to report my adventures when I head down south.
I haven't updated much, but here's the quick scoop. Still employed at the law firm, engaged, bought a car with my partner, we have a 2 bedroom apartment up in Gaithersburg, and things are going very well for us. Turned 30 a couple of months ago, and am pretty happy with it.
God has blessed me in so many ways. I mean, the last few years have been hell since leaving Michigan back in 2006, but I sure had a kick-ass learning experience and met a lot of cool people, and "not" so cool people. Those people are no longer in my life, and God has blessed me with so many more friends and good things - I can't complain, for realz!
Still trying to quit smoking - it's easier said than done, that's for sure.
